- Dropping to her knees Mackenzie looked up to Ms Skye with a pleading expression. Tears started to form at the edges of her eyes, and a sorrowful grimace was spread across her lips. I felt a little bad for her, even though I knew she fully deserved what had been said.
- "Please please please don't kick me out of this class. It's so important, your lessons are so important, you are so important. I'll do anything to prove that, to win back your approval. I won't be a bitch to the others, I promise, I'll even be nice to them. Just please don't make me stop taking this class." Mackenzie begged.
- Mackenzie's pleading words hung heavily in the room for a little while. Ms Skye didn't respond immediately, instead just staring with icy coldness at Mackenzie. The rest of us looked at Mackenzie with wide eyes, amazed that she had debased herself enough to beg. I had known that all my classmates valued this class, and they were devoted to the teacher, but Mackenzie had shown more desperation than I would have expected when faced with potentially being kicked out. The only person who looked rather relaxed was Cassie, who was standing off to the side with a small smirk on her lips.
